Another rainy day. I don’t see what the farmers are to do. Finished shucking corn today. – – Horace has tried several times to kill some ducks, but has not succeeded. Made ginger cakes and did some jelly over I’ve been keeping for Liv. Fitted the body of my blk. calico dress today and Bake made the sleeves. Wove a little just to keep my hand in. – – Had a bale of cotton dyed for warp for another piece of cloth, after I have another piece for the servants’ shirts. – – Bill’s at home all day today. I fixed wicks for dipping candles tomorrow, if nothing prevents. – – We are anxiously expecting Liv, but he has not made his appearance.
