Another lovely day, but I am right much indisposed from loss of sleep last night. Mary seems to stand the fatigue of travel, &c so very well. Ju came down to spend the day and brought Stuart. All the family, with the exception of Mag and baby, are once more united. Something I had never expected to see again in this world. Mary and Garland, Ju, Bill, Liv, Hardie, Zac, Bake, Pigeo and Nannie and four dear little grandchildren, comprise the family. The boys went fishing after dinner, and Mary assisted the girls in preparing themselves to attend a dance or picnic at “Springfield.” They, the boys, returned about 5. Ju and Stuart left and the rest got ready and all started after sunset. Bake, Pigeo, Liv and the two Lieuts. in the carriage with Bartlett to drive, and Bill and Zac on horseback. Zac brought Duroc from his Uncle Hill’s when he came from school for Bill to ride, and he rode Fannie. This is the first time Duroc has been home since he first went there with the other horses 5th May.
