A cloudy morning. Liv came to breakfast. Started from Richmond yesterday, rode a Yankee horse. Is trying to buy some cows for Mary. – – I am too unwell to attend Church, and the day is too unlikely for Pigeo to go in the buggy to Acquinton to attend the Methodist quarterly meeting, where she is very anxious to go. So we all remained at home, except Liv and Zac. The former dined with Ju and the latter went to Zion. Sent $5 to cousin Lem, the amount he gave Dr. Thomas for me (a donation). Sent the emblems by Martha, as she went to Mr. Brett Lipscomb’s to spend the day. Several of the servants went. Patsy cooked.
