The only references to Andrew Benton Littlepage, 1836-1838, are in Ethel Ahern’s informal Littlepage family document and unsourced references on Ancestry.com. No primary source documents have been found. He did not live long enough to appear in a U.S. Census. County birth, marriage, and death records before 1853 do not exist.
Andrew may have been named for Andrew Jackson, U.S. President at his birth, and U.S. Senator Thomas Hart Benton, Jackson’s close political ally. Lewis and Caroline certainly named their son born ten years later John C. Calhoun Littlepage. Calhoun was Jackson’s Vice President.
